Amazon's new Kindle is already sold out

Less than a week after announcing the new Kindle 3, and offering it up for pre-order, Amazon now lists the Kindle as 'sold-out', due to strong customer demand. Both versions (the Wi-Fi only and the WiFi/3G) are sold-out. Amazon encourages you to order now to reserve your place in the line: it's first come first served... If you order today, they expect to ship it on September 4th or before.
