Amazon spends more on Kindle promotions, generates around $2.8 billion in Kindle revenueAmazon has posted their quarterly earnings today, and forecasts small-then-estimated operation income for the next quarter, mostly because Amazon is spending more on new warehouses and marketing for Zappos.com and the Kindle e-readers. Amazon do not say how much Kindles they are selling, but analysts estimate that the Kindle will generate $2.8 billion in revenue this year and $5.3 billion in 2012. via Bloomberg
