Gizmodo reviews Sony's E-readers, and are not happy

Gizmodo posted an interesting review of Sony's new E-readers. And they are not very happy. The Reader daily edition has a lot of features, but they say that the glare on the touchscreen is simply terrible. The pocket device (PRS-300) is said to be lacking a lot of features - such as an SD card slot, a dictionary or a search function.

ASUS planning a dual-screen cheap e-reader?

Engadget reports that ASUS are planning a dual-touch-screen e-reader, based on their Eee-pc netbooks. It will be called the Eee-book reader, it will be very cheap (around 160$), and it will be shipping in 2009.

They are also considering a premium model (with 3G wireless connectivity, web browser and extended storage).

iRex is going to launch a consumer 8.1" wireless e-reader

According to CNet's Crave, iRex is set to launch a wireless (3G) E-reader. It will have a 8.1" touch screen (probably an E Ink as this is the display used in iRex's other devices). It will be released Fall 2009.
