PocketBook announced a front-lit color E Ink reader, will launch in June 2013

PocketBook announced it has developed the world's first e-reader that has a front-lit color E Ink second-generation Triton display. The display is large (8)" but features a rather disappointing 800x600 resolution (only 125 ppi). The color depth is 4096, and the display also offer a capacitive touch screen with multitouch. The reader will launch in June 2013, hopefully.

Adding frontlight to the color display makes it brighter and increases the contrast, which will be good because the contrast of the Triton display is not very good.
