Gartner says E-readers will take off in the holiday season of 2010

Gartner predicts that e-reader sales will take off in the 2010 holiday season. Currently the lowest priced e-readers go for around $199. The price should drop to around $99 to gain 'significant consumer traction'.

Gartner thinks that longer-term the future is bright. Publishers should be bullish in the digital distribution of e-books, magazines and newspapers.
