Gartner: the e-reader market will reach 6.6 million units in 2010, up 80% from 2009

A new study by Gartner says that e-reader sales will reach 6.6 million in 2010, up from 3.6 million in 2009 (that's an almost 80% increase!). Gartner predict that the market will continue to grow in 2011, by around 70%.

According to Gartner, E-reader makers must keep prices low to fight off competition from more expensive tablets, which have more features.
